Welcome to the web pages for Girls Get SET. Girls Get SET is
the residential week project that has been run annually since
2000 by the four Edinburgh universities: Heriot-Watt University,
Napier University, Queen Margaret University College and The
University of Edinburgh. These pages are just for girls who have
attended one of these residential programmes, and they have been
developed to help Girls Get SET attendees keep in touch after
their residential week – and hopefully not just immediately
afterwards, but for years and years to come!
The Girls Get SET team will post any news about the main Girls
Get SET programme here, and you can post messages on the bulletin
board yourself, to keep in contact with us as well as with your
Girls Get SET friends - or maybe track down someone you’ve
lost touch with from your residential week. You might also find
it useful to see what girls a few years older than you are doing
now and ask them questions. Obviously we have to monitor what
appears on the Bulletin Board to protect everyone and make sure
no-one from outside Girls Get SET has ‘infiltrated’ or
misused it, so please make sure anything you post there is something
you’re happy for all of us to see – and remember,
NEVER post personal details such as your address, phone number
or email.
Of course we also encourage you to have a really good browse
around the rest of the main Girls Get WISE website too, if you
haven’t already. You’ll find interesting, fun and
useful information on careers for girls in science, engineering
and technology, all of which will really back up everything you’ve
already experienced by being part of Girls Get SET.
Use the left-hand section of this page to log into the Girls
Get SET Bulletin Board and catch up with the other girls.
If you haven’t already registered, click here
to register.
